This Forces, Motion, and Simple Machines Multi-Group Kit has been designed to incorporate a wide range of interesting hands-on investigations to enhance your existing science curriculum. Aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards, this kit covers the fundamental science concepts of forces, motion, and simple machines. Investigations include force couples involving action and reactions, sliding and rolling friction, centrifugal and centripetal forces, velocity, simple periodic motion, periodic motion of a pendulum, uniform linear motion, accelerated motion, efficiency of machines, ideal and actual mechanical advantage, pulley systems, the pulley as a modified lever, the inclined plane, and the use of levers to multiply force and speed and change direction. Contains enough materials for six work stations and a teacher’s guide.
