In 1941, Norman Eckley, a vocational agriculture instructor, developed several teaching aids to use in his classes that were eagerly sought by his colleagues. These teaching aids were not readily available from any other source. This simple act of filling a classroom need with an appropriate product was to become a way of life for Nasco in years to come. He produced and sold several of these products to fellow teachers, and soon decided to spend full time on his new vocation, renting out a two-car garage to house his new business. In May of 1941, the first Nasco catalog of teaching aids and farm supplies, with approximately 100 products, was published and distributed to 2,500 vocational agriculture teachers. Today, Nasco publishes 25 different catalogs, mailing over 5 million catalogs annually to customers in education, agriculture, health, and industry worldwide. Teaching materials are available from early childhood education to the university level.

Almost 70 years after Norman Eckley published his first catalog, Nasco’s family of educational catalogs continues to serve the needs of teachers worldwide. Click on the titles below to view catalog homepages or products.
