Sustainability is a key part of how we will continue to take care of the places we live, the people we care about, and the resources around us. This 11-unit curriculum has a variety of simple to more complex activities for students that can be used Monday morning in the classroom. Hands-on activities, as well as health and wellness activities, can be utilized in any classroom to supplement programming in a school. In the early years of school, literacy is one of the main focuses of the curriculum. This first-grade knowledge library builds 11 units of study around how dams work. Among the many things students learn about are structures, hydraulics, and how animals build dams. Math and science units have built in exciting theme-based exercises to help bring relevance to learning. Health and wellness activities feature food-based experiments all kids will enjoy making and eating!
