fischertechnik® Construction Kit - STEM Renewable Energies
Grades 6 and up.
How is environmentally friendly power generated? How does a fuel cell work, and how can you use it to produce hydrogen? As students explore these questions, theyll learn about renewable energy sources and their importance to the future.
Through 28 engaging experiments, this kit teaches how energy from wind, water, sun, and fuel cell technology is generated, stored, and used.
Students will be able to build 9 functional models, including a hand generator, wind turbine, wind power plant, vertical wind turbine, water turbine, and an electric vehicle with solar panels, gold cap electrolytic capacitor, or fuel cell.
Powerful solar models can be attached in different ways for versatile use in the models. The included Gold Cap electrolytic capacitor serves as an energy storage system, which can also output stored energy. The fuel cell clearly demonstrates how water is split into hydrogen and oxygen.
Kit includes:
- 268 components, including a voltage transformer and multimeter
- 1 sturdy Gratnells storage box with transparent lid
- Access to a library of downloadable lesson plans and tutorial materials.
Recommended for 24 students per set.
