DNA fingerprinting is used in the identification of individuals based on DNA analysis of hair, skin, and blood. In this experiment, students use dye simulations as DNA samples and the criminal is identified from several suspects. Includes two samples from the crime scene, four samples from suspects, Ultra-Spec-Agarose™, 50X electrophoresis buffer, practice gel loading solution, transfer pipettes, and a teacher’s guide with comprehensive student activities.

*NOTE: For 10 groups of 2-3 students each, 20-30 students total. Requires an electrophoresis unit.
