Get students learning about physics with this economical hands-on kit containing 15 different experiments that examine Hooke’s Law, 2-D collisions, inclined planes, pendulums, and loops. The included base provides a stable support structure for all experiments and can be used on nearly any flat tabletop or floor surface. The 24 in. x 15-1/2 in. x 1 in. base contains 40 pre-drilled screw holes that can be used with any Visual Scientifics apparatus. The 22 in. x 15 in. x 1 in. backboard mounts directly to the base so students have a high contrast grid to collect data from when they need to take measurements in the vertical direction. Magnetic backboard accepts different mounting solutions for various experiments and probeware. Both backboard and base also feature a series of grid lines that are 3/8 in. (1 cm) apart with a total of 2-15/16 in. (7.5 cm) between adjacent screw holes. Grid lines are designed to help students measure and collect data. Backboard has a high-contrast color grid that allows for easy data collection with video analysis systems. Also includes a 125-page manual with content and experiment guides. Material covers 60 Next Generation Science Standards and 60 Common Core State Standards.
