Transition cows demand both immediate and sustained calcium for metabolic support during freshening. Transition™ calcium boluses give you a quick solution that is safe for the animal, easy to administer, prepares cows to enter the milking herd in a normal time frame, and has no withdrawal period. Each bolus contains three proven sources of calcium for immediate and sustained release: calcium chloride, calcium propionate, and calcium carbonate. Vitamin D3 is also introduced to help the absorption and metabolism of calcium and phosphorus. When administered during the freshening period, these boluses help prevent milk fever and other complications before they start. Administer immediately after calving and again 12 hours after calving.
