Toggle punch is used to pierce the dewlap about 1 in. back from the fold. Dewlap tags can be attached through a hole punched in the dewlap approximately 8 in. to 10 in. below the jaw. They can be installed on a week-old calf or a grown animal. The hasp is then run through the holes, the tag slipped onto the hasp, and the hasp ends bent at a right angle with the tag. Allow extra delivery time.
