A tragic car accident. A horrific double homicide. Business schemes and drug rings. Can you and your students solve the mystery of Lyle and Louise? This premier forensic science curriculum is designed for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students and is comprised of independent, hands-on laboratory kits. Each kit allows students to process different evidence from multiple crime scenes in a complex murder mystery scenario. Sets clear goals and expectations for students and is aligned with National Science Education Standards. Supplies are included for up to 30 students working in six groups.
Outside the cabin scene, there is evidence of a struggle. A bullet was found lodged in the mud. At a separate crime scene, investigators have found an unloaded gun that was presumed to have been left behind by two of the suspects. Students need to compare bullet striations to see if the bullet found outside the cabin was fired by the gun found by the police. Includes a fully illustrated teacher’s manual, 12 fired bullets, 36 photos of microscopic bullet striations from the evidence bullets, six magnifiers, lab questions, and data sheets. Materials for 30 students working in groups of six.
