Students will analyze these stains to determine if the substance at the crime scene is blood! Students will learn how forensic investigators process evidence and perform presumptive tests on suspected bloodstains, analyze different items to detect traces of blood, and process a piece of evidence collected from the crime scene. Contains materials for 30 students working in groups of six and a fully illustrated teacher’s manual. Kit includes six bottles each of hydrogen peroxide and phenolphthalein solutions, and six sets each of cotton swabs, positive controls and presumptive test cards, and carpet scraps from the crime scene.
