Solar Science Station

Grades 4-12. For your STEM curriculum.

Handy project with three different uses: solar USB charger, power supply for other gadgets, and a tool for recording solar data for use in a classroom or science project. Designed around a large 5.5V 320mA solar cell on a rotating axis for adjusting the angle of the solar cell. Angle degrees are displayed on the side. Combine the degree of the angle, the time of day, the direction, and the voltage output for a plethora of scientific data to record. Station front contains several ports, including an LED voltmeter, a USB port for powering USB gadgets, and two simple terminal screws for direct power out. All the wires are connected to a central screw terminal hub, making the kit reusable and easy to fix. Kit contains everything needed except a screwdriver and a wire stripper. No soldering required!
