SEL Emotions Book Set

Grades PreK–2

Introduce students to a variety of experiences that will help guide their social and emotional development through storytelling. This set of illustrated picture books will give beginner readers lessons on problem solving, making friends with someone that has a physical disability, and handling angry emotions. Use each book as a jumping off point for discussing the story in the classroom. Each paperback book is 24 pages.

Set includes:

• Rosie Ross, Recess Boss: In this book, students can join Lily as she learns positive ways to solve a problem on her own during recess
• Meeting Mimi: In this book, students can meet Mimi, the new girl at school who has a physical disability. Readers will join Mimi's classmates as they ask questions about different abilities and make a new friend.
• Kate is So, SO Mad!: In this book, students will meet Kate and learn positive approaches for handling angry emotions.
