Nasco CSI Forensics Classroom Kit

Grades 5-8.

Students will be immersed into a series of unforgettable scenarios, including a classroom break-in, an interrogation, and a vending machine caper. Utilizing forensic science activities, students will develop problem-solving skills, learn to use a variety of forensics equipment, enhance group collaboration and communication, reinforce science process skills related to forensics content, and enhance students' metacognitive awareness. Activities include fingerprinting, working with simulated blood patterns, fabric testing, plaster casts, and more. Kit contains enough materials for a class of 24 students, plus a 110-page teacher's guide/activity book containing lesson plans, reproducible student handouts, materials lists, follow-up activities, and resources.
