The Mystery of Lyle and Louise Lab Investigation Kit - Fingerprint Analysis Kit

Grades 7-12.

While investigating a double murder, police discover suspicious fingerprints on an open safe. Students must determine who left the suspicious fingerprint! Students will learn the fingerprinting techniques used by the FBI and other latent print examiners. After learning about these techniques and rolling and lifting prints, students will analyze a fingerprint found at the business office of the victims and compare it to several exemplar sets to determine if suspicious activity had occurred there. Contains materials for 30 students working in groups of six and a fully illustrated teacher’s manual. Kit includes 30 hinge lifters, six brushes, dusting powder, professional fingerprinting ink pads, evidence fingerprint from office, and fingerprint cards from the suspects.
