This game uses cognitive behavioral therapy to help combat anxiety including strategies such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing, and visualization. Remote control symbols are used to facilitate learning the skills. During the game, players read very brief case studies adapted from real-life scenarios of anxious or worried thoughts of children. Players then either POWER ON for positive self-talk, breaking the negative thought cycle that can lead to escalated worry and stress, PAUSE to act out or describe a relaxation technique, or REWIND and describe a time in the past when they overcame a similar worry or stress successfully. Game contains both competitive and cooperative versions for two different cognitive levels. Includes two decks of cards (40 cards per deck), two sets of rules, bag of remote control buttons and non functioning cardboard remote control, cooperation sheet, and facilitator guide. For 2-5 players.
