CYBER.ORG™ Discover Alternative Energy Kit

Grades 7.

Students are part of a team assigned to distribute energy resources over the landscape of a newly discovered planet with an ecology much like Earth. The planet is in the process of being colonized and your team is responsible for strategically placing its citizens and resources. Students will research energy sources and run simulations representing multiple years for each of their potential layouts. Probability is a major focus of the simulations. This kit contains enough materials for 10 groups. Access to curricula materials can be found at http://www.cyber.org.
