CYBER.ORG™ Explore Catapults Kit

Grades 6.

Students use common materials to recreate a physical model of a video game that uses a sling shot to launch projectiles to knock down blocks. Using the engineering design process, students learn about projectile motion and other principles that influence the design of the sling shots. This kit contains enough materials for 10 groups. Access to curricula materials can be found at http://www.cyber.org.

Materials in this kit include: hot glue guns and glue sticks, tape measures, gummy candies, rubber bands, foam board, transparency paper, cardstock, foam golf balls, craft sticks, and yoga bands.
