CYBER.ORG™ Apply Cars Kit

Grades 8.

Students design a new eco-concept car for a luxury car company. The car must use elastic energy for propulsion. Each team will investigate spring potential and kinetic energies, drive axles, internal combustion engines, along with other key factors that are important to the concept design. The engineering design process guides the students through the module. This kit contains enough materials for 10 groups. Access to curricula materials can be found at http://www.cyber.org.

Materials in this kit include: Pez® dispensers and candy, standard mousetrap, tumbler straw, dowel rods, CDs, cardboard boxes, zip ties, masking tape, straws, paper clips, nylon string, school glue, and yardstick.
