All shark specimens are embalmed through caudal artery under pressure. Double-injected sharks have red latex injected into arterial system, and yellow latex injected into the hepatic portal system from the spiral valve to the liver. Triple-injected sharks, in addition to the red and yellow, have blue latex injected into the systemic veins. Ideal size for dissection, sexually mature. All Nasco sharks are degreased for easy handling. Depending on availability, specimens may be either squalus dogfish or mustelus smooth-hound sharks.
