Enables students to identify some common over-the-counter drugs as well as learning test procedures for controlled substances. Test methods are developed for heavy metal poisoning such as lead and mercury. These procedures are used to determine the presence or absence of lead or mercury at the scene of a crime. The analysis of simulated body fluids, such as urine, is also carried out. NOTE: Controlled substances are simulated.
