AMES Engineering Design with Radians Kit
Students will design a device that can be used to approximate angles using radians. Students use the engineering design process as a guide to research radians, degrees, and other angle measurement systems that have been developed over time. Along with learning the mathematics content, students are required to create a marketing campaign that advertises their device as the best.
Materials include: foam board, dowel rods, adhesive putty, hot glue, craft wire, and hot glue guns.
