Being able to identify chemical reactions and communicate what is happening during these reactions is vital to the scientific community. Introduce students to two common types of chemical reactions: single replacement and double replacement. Students will perform a series of experiments highlighting the differences in these reactions and use what they learn to write a balanced chemical reaction equation. Teacher’s manual and student study guide copy-master included. Enough material for 15 groups of students. Aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)*.
