Individual Student Solar Energy Science Kit

Grades 6-12.

Introduce students to how solar light energy is converted into electrical energy, whether they are learning in the classroom or from home. Individual student kit means no sharing of supplies.

How it works:

• A photoelectric panel collects sunshine, while three consumers are included to demonstrate use/users of the electrical energy (light energy, sound energy, and mechanical energy)
• An LED shows the conversion back to light
• A buzzer shows the conversion to sound energy
• A motor demonstrates the conversion to mechanical energy
• A mirror allows students to test varying the amount of sunlight collected by the panel to see if more/less light produces more/less electrical energy
