EZ-Robot Revolution Robot - JD Humanoid
Grades 6-12.
A fully functional humanoid robot kit featuring 16 degrees of freedom and metal gear, heavy-duty servo motors, meaning it has 16 motorized joints for walking, dancing, or anything you teach it. The eyes contain 18 RGB LEDs (nine per eye) that can be easily programmed and animated for unlimited expressions of up to 1 million colors. Compact grippers are powered by strong, metal-geared servo motors for interacting with soft, light objects. A camera is contained in the robot's head.
These robots combine powerful hardware, clip-n-play modularity, and innovative software that push the limits of robot technology. Each robot has an exceptionally compact, intelligent, and powerful brain that enables the robot to walk, talk, learn, interact, and play. The brain leverages the power of two 32-bit Cortex ARM and Microchip IC32 processors operating at a combined 320 MHz. The brain can also be expanded to grow with the robot by supporting dozens of additional sensors, displays, and servomotors. The camera enables the robot to interact with objects, colors, faces, motion, glyphs, and QR codes. Using a PC or mobile device, control the robots over a Wi-Fi® connection. The EZ-Builder software controls, programs, and shares the robot's behaviors, configurations, and personalities. Customize the robot with EZ-Builder's easy-to-use 3-D graphical designer, then share the configuration on the EZ-Cloud App Store within the global community. Point-and-click programming is graphical, easy, and scales between beginning and advanced users. The processing is offloaded to a mobile device, tablet, or PC, providing users with an easy-to-use, rich development environment that can be used by non-programmers. New features can be added to the robot as computers, mobile devices, and software evolves. A simple drag-and-drop interface allows you to even make your own apps for your iOS® or Android device. The robots also feature a low-energy digital switching power supply that generates practically no heat, ez-bit parts that simply slide together to make arms and legs, and a built-in speaker for streaming live audio. Parts are easily replaced by using the 3D-printable open source CAD files. Smartphone not included. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows® 8.1 minimum (Windows® 10 recommended), Intel Pentium or AMD 64 or 32 Bit 1.8 GHz CPU, 6 GB RAM, 200 MB free drive space, Mac iOS® 7.0 minimum, 50 MB storage space (Note: Due to Android™ devices having inconsistent OS versions and features between manufacturers and models, EZ-Robot is unable to support all features across all Android devices).
