strong>Grades PreK-1. Cubetto is a friendly wooden robot that will teach students the basics of computer programming through adventure and hands-on play, making it an ideal addition to STEAM curriculum at the early childhood and kindergarten level. Hard-wearing robot will guide students into the world of coding in a tactile, screenless fashion. Cubetto uses blocks to create a coding language that students can touch and manipulate just like they would LEGOs®. Each block is an action that, when combined, creates programs. Students simply place the blocks on the board, then hit the blue button to tell Cubetto where to go and execute their very first program. Block types include forward, left, right, function, backward, negation, and random. A wonderful way to introduce programming concepts such as algorithm, the queue, debugging, and recursions without distracting screens and keyboards. The tangible, block-based coding language makes it possible for students as young as age 3 to write and execute their first programs. Batteries enable Cubetto to explore continuously for 4-6 hours. Perfect for classroom, afterschool programs, makerspaces, coding workshops, and STEAM sessions.
