Cornell eBird Explorers: Building Literacy Through Nature Lessons & Materials Kit, K-2

Grades K–2.

Students learn about local birds while building science practice skills in this elementary curriculum. Aligned to both Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core State Standards, this collection of lessons developed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology allow students to get outside, explore their environment, make observations, collect data and more. Teachers get tips, tools, and activities to help students identify birds and submit data online to be part of the eBird citizen-science project.
