Concept of Light Kit

Grades 6-8.

This educational kit contains materials and instructions suitable for safe, hands-on, inquiry-based experimentation into the nature and properties of light. The kit is pimarily aimed at students in middle school, but may be used by elementary or high school students by slightly altering the instructions. Experiments that can be performed include: what is light, how does light travel, how do lenses affect light, how do mirrors affect light, how does color relate to light, etc. Provides instructions for science fair activities and optional Probeware/Data Logging activities. Kit includes: six acrylic prisms, one triangular prism, one half-round prism, two double concave prisms, one doubel convex prism, one rectangular prism, one ray box, one plane mirror, one concave mirror, Newton color disc on stand, and wooden storage box.
