Coding in 4 Steps Essentials Game
Grades K-12.
Screenless, unplugged coding game takes players' understanding of the meaning of an arrow to the next level by having them turn every step on the game board into an arrow. Players choose an animal on the board, put 4 steps on the game board, look for which animal they stop, then take that card and hide it. Players will then encode their steps and give their code to a fellow player, who will convert the code into steps. If the code has been executed correctly, the player should arrive on the same animals as the first player did. The first player then shows the second player their card. Works well as an introduction to programming robots, making this game a great addition to any early STEAM curriculum. Includes 10-1/4 in. x 10-1/4 in. plastic playing board, 25 plastic cards with arrows (1-3/8 in. x 1-3/8 in.), 10 plastic cards with arrows (1-3/8 in. x 1-3/8 in.) 2 wooden card holders, 2 wooden pawns, and a manual.
