A must for any traffic safety program that addresses distracted driving! Students are placed in five different driving scenarios that illustrate how distraction and change blindness (a perceptual phenomenon that happens when a change in the driving environment occurs and the driver does not notice the change) can inhibit a driver’s ability to continuously scan one’s environment, evaluate potential threats, and execute well-timed driving maneuvers to avoid a crash. They will also learn the S.E.E. Strategy (Search, Evaluate, and Execute), an approach to help reinforce safe driving skills and reduce the risk of distracted driving. NOTE: The presentation software and PDFs of the user guide and activity sheet must be downloaded. An email address is required for installation and activation key. Offers access for 12 months.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows® 7/8/10, Macintosh® OS 10.9 or higher.
