Grades 8.

Students work for a marketing firm known for their innovative and successful viral marketing campaign. Their firm has been hired by the National Kiters Association to raise public interest in kite flying. In order to provide the best viral campaign, each team working on the campaign must design, build, and fly their own kites. While their kite is flying, they must take aerial video from the kite's perspective to be included in the advertisement. Through the engineering design process, students are given the tools to research the fundamentals of kite flight which leads to the design, construction, and testing of their own kites as well as development of their viral advertisement campaign. This kit contains enough materials for 10 groups. Access to curricula materials can be found at

Materials in this kit include: kite string, garbage bags, plastic table cloths, mini camera, micro SD card, wooden dowel rods, plastic dowel rods, rope, yarn, cotton fabric, and balsa wood.
