Grades 2-5. Students will learn about acids and bases through a classroom discussion and then test a dilute acid and dilute base with neutral litmus paper to learn how the paper indicates something is acidic or basic. Students then test common household items to determine if they are acids or bases. Extra litmus paper is included for further item testing. Includes a bottle each of 0.01M HCl, 0.01M NaOH, distilled water, vinegar, diluted ammonia, liquid soap, and lemon juice, neutral litmus paper, and spot plates. For six groups of students.
