Safer and more permanent than traditional mediums, these mediums not only modify the working properties of oil color from the tube, they also broaden the visual qualities of Gamblin colors, including increasing the transparency of paint layers and creating a range of surface qualities from high gloss to matte. The sole use of Gamsol as a thinning agent is recommended, as the mediums are formulated with Gamsol. Mediums should not be used as a varnish or final coat. Thins oil colors and extends working time. More fluid and less glossy than Galkyd Lite. Use one part Galkyd Slow Dry to one part oil colors to paint wet-into-wet for at least a day.
