This glue gesso, the traditional chalk (or gypsum) ground, is distinctly different from the acrylic gesso we commonly know today. The compound is composed of six parts whiting (natural chalk) to one part zinc white pigment. In recipes, this compound is sometimes referred to as filler. Made in the U.S.A.
