Product Description
A tragic car accident. A horrific double homicide. Business schemes and drug rings. Can you and your students solve the mystery of Lyle and Louise? This premier forensic science curriculum is designed for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students and is comprised of independent, hands-on laboratory kits. Each kit allows students to process different evidence from multiple crime scenes in a complex murder mystery scenario. Sets clear goals and expectations for students and is aligned with National Science Education Standards. Supplies are included for up to 30 students working in six groups.
An identity crisis ensues as two women have been identified post-mortem as Louise. Your students must determine who is actually Louise using the latest in DNA typing technology. Students will learn about and experiment with three different methods of DNA analysis. Students will then analyze their results to determine the true identity of the victim. Includes a fully illustrated teacher’s manual, six pre-melted agarose gels, BlueVis™ staining solution, BlueVis™ gel buffer, and DNA evidence. Grades 7-12 and undergraduate.
