Accurate weighing is becoming more and more important to successful hog farmers. Take the guesswork out of trying to read accurate weight on a trembling dial, a waving balance beam, or the fluctuating digital display on most other electronic scales. Pigs can’t fool the WayPig® Digital Scale - whether a pig is calm or excited doesn’t matter. As the animal continues to move around on the scale, the electronics will average its weight in seconds, with 99% accuracy! Gates on each end have sure-close latches at top and bottom, yet open with a flip of one lever. Bars on the sides are removable. The animal can be observed from all four sides and can be accessed for injections or marking. Two heavy-duty, stainless steel load cells installed under the floor absorb the shock load of active animals during weighing. Electronics are in a seamless housing for full protection from dust and moisture. This unit features a liquid crystal display with large numbers, plus keys for power, tare (which gets the scale back to zero), and one that lets you double-check the animal’s weight without taking it off the scale.
