This demonstration model is constructed to illustrate the ladder-like arrangement of the DNA molecule. The model can be readily twisted to form the characteristic Watson and Crick double helix configuration. The sides of the ladder (deoxyribose and phosphates) are made of solid vinyl and depicted by alternating black-and-white segments. The rungs (nitrogenous bases) are constructed of painted hardwood dowels. Can be extended to 40". Model can be easily stored as a coil. Instruction sheet included. Shipped directly from factory.
