Product Details
This combination Limnology Outfit provides test equipment for analyzing natural water samples for pH, dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrate, phosphate, calcium magnesium, total hardness, and silica. The pH test uses a wide-range pH indicator which reacts with the test sample to form a characteristic color. The test sample is inserted in an Octet comparator and compared with hermetically sealed standards that cover the range of pH 3.0 to 10.0. The remaining determinations are made by means of Micro Burette titrations. Separate Micro Burettes are furnished for each test so that all tests can be performed simultaneously. Six water sampling bottles for collecting field samples are included in the kit. Enough for 50 test each (40 tests on nitrate). The test and sampling apparatus is furnished in a shatterproof carrying case. Each component is securely mounted in the sculptured polyethylene foam platform that protects the equipment when the outfit is used outdoors. The case measures 12" x 14" x 6-1/2".
