This Combination Limnology Outfit provides test equipment for analyzing natural water samples for pH, dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrate, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, total hardness, and silica. The pH, nitrate, phosphate, and silica tests use chemical reagents which react with each specific factor to form a characteristic color. The test sample is inserted into an Octet Comparator and compared with hermetically sealed standards over a specific range for each factor. The remaining determinations are made by means of direct reading titrations. Separate direct reading titrators are furnished for each test so that all tests can be performed simultaneously. Six water sampling bottles for collecting field samples are included in the kit. The test and sampling apparatus are furnished in a shatterproof carrying case. Shipped directly from factory.
