Fast heat up and fast cool down. Sleek glass ceramic cooking-top conducts heat transferred from halogen elements. Responds instantly to temperature change, the higher the temperature the brighter the light. Vacuum sealed quartz glass tubes are filled with halogen gas. Dual heat sources installed in ceramic fiber insulation. Caution light illuminates and audible tones sound when unit is hot. 9-1/2" diameter cooking surface. Use flat bottom pans including woks, teakettles, casseroles, ceramic, and glass pans. Internal mechanism for fast cool down. Six temperature settings from 185° F to 806° F.
