Sewing geometric patterns is a great way to teach or reinforce a variety of math lessons including pattern and sequence recognition, geometric vocabulary, and constructions. Easy enough for young students and those learning number recognition, yet sophisticated enough for middle school students to make tetrahedra, octahedra, etc. from finished cards. All materials are teacher created. This kit comes with detailed instructions for sewing 15 different designs; 15 pre-printed 8" x 8" pattern cards; one 45-yd. spool each of fluorescent pink, yellow, green, and orange twine to sew all 15 cards; one giant push pin; and crewel needle. Grade 1 and up.
