Contains over 800 regular and star polygons made of quiet and durable EVA foam. The edge lengths of the shapes are all 1", making them compatible with pattern blocks. A wide variety of tessellations can be made with this set, which contains enough pieces for a class of 30-35 students. The instructions contain a number of brain teasers using the pieces; lesson guides cover symmetry in tessellations and angles in regular and star polygons; and four reproducible worksheets cover translational, rotational, and glide reflection symmetry in tessellations, coloring of tessellations, and stellation of polygons.
