This popular coin-counting calculator, developed by a special education teacher, uses realistic coin buttons (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter) and a dollar bill button instead of the number buttons on regular calculators. When these buttons are pushed, they add their money value to the amount on the LCD screen. The Coin-U-Lator can be used to count money and teach coin values. A simple switch changes the operation from addition to subtraction. It also offers two games: a money matching game and a coin-counting game. A variety of sounds add to the fun and give immediate correction and reinforcement. A mute button allows you to turn the sounds off for classroom use. Features an energy-saving automatic shutoff. Batteries and instructions are included.
