Ordered to make three cloaks for the Archduke, the tailor summons his three sons for help. Two of the sons fashion cloaks out of rectangles, but the dreamer in the family makes his out of circles. Although beautiful, the cloak of circles leaves open spaces when sewn together. All three brothers work together to reshape the circles into hexagons to create a cloak that works. An ideal introduction to the basics of geometry. 36 pages. Grades K-5.
