The world’s only hand-held scanning device that enables users with reading disabilities to improve reading comprehension. Scan a word or line from any printed text and hear the word(s) read aloud from the built-in speaker or earphone (included). Users can also plug in any standard Walkman/iPod type earphone of their own. Words are displayed in large characters on the Readingpen®. With the push of a single button, the user can switch between the dictionary definition and the thesaurus entry. The thesaurus provides a quick and simple way for users to gain an understanding of words. Designed specifically for the school-age reader, this Readingpen® features a dictionary and thesaurus configured for the K-12 curriculum. Recognizes over 250,000 words. Other features: displays syllables; spells words or reads definitions; keeps a history of scanned words; scans inverted and hyphenated text; adjustable for left- and right-handed users; and includes English to Spanish translation, providing added support for ESL/ELL students.
