A series of activities based on waves, light, and sound. Some of the activities include producing both longitudinal and transverse mechanical waves and comparing their similarities and differences; observing wavelength and frequency in water; studying vibrations and the production of sound waves, using an elasticized string to create and observe different pitch noises; and so much more! Kit includes: six LAB-AIDS® mini wave tanks, six springs, six pieces of elastic string with barbed end, six plastic paddles, six 15-cm rulers, 28 student worksheets and guides, two transparencies, and a teacher’s manual. Grades 6-12.
