Students investigate the cycle of ground level ozone by measuring fossil fuel air pollutants and the contributing environmental factors. They also collaborate to relate the health hazards of air pollution to human health, using the Air Quality Index. These activities provide an excellent opportunity to discuss ways to reduce air pollution generated by everyday activities. Includes three sample gas detector tubes and a syringe pump. Grades 9-12.
