New and improved CPR Recording Manikin eliminates the challenge every instructor faces - adequately gauging student performance. This manikin precisely measures all actions associated with CPR, and compares them to the 2005 AHA CPR Standards. The results are scored as a percentage of performance compared to those standards. No programming or extra equipment is needed. You may attach the device to a digital projector (not included). To operate, select a performance time span and initiate the recording. When the student completes their skill test for the length of time set, the recording device automatically rates the student on a percentage basis according to the instructor’s preset parameters. For instance, eliminate the ventilation parameters, and the score will reflect only compression information. Leave all the parameters active and determine when certifiable CPR has been performed. Real time instructor evaluations of the student’s performance are displayed on the laptop screen. The lap top can also be used to show the students their efforts in real time so they can make necessary adjustments to create CPR proficiency. Instructor correction and encouragement changes a poor performance into an acceptable one. The instructor may print out the performance record and show the student how much improvement has taken place.
