This direct drive pump evacuates bell jars to the pressure needed for all vacuum experiments, including boiling water at room temperature. Comes ready to operate. Two stage pump produces 1-micron ultimate pressure. Rotary sliding vane provides free air displacement of 85 liters per minute (3 cfm) capacity and operates quietly. Direct drive reduces space needed. Gas ballast helps purge moisture from vacuum system. Trap reduces risk of oil suck back into the system. 2-1/2" dial, 0-30" Hg Bourdon type steel-case vacuum gauge securely mounted to the intake. Pump speed: 1725 RPM. 1/2 HP motor, 110V 60 Hz. Oil capacity: 27 oz. (785 cc). Operating temperature: 30° F to 170° F. Intake port: 3/8" OD for 3/8" ID tubing. Dimensions: 11" H x 14" L x 5-1/4" W.
