Demonstrate the principles of a redox reaction. Paint the potassium thiocyanate solution and potassium ferrocyanide solution onto filter paper. Once the solutions are dry, you can spray the paper with iron chloride and watch blue and red colors appear. Includes three 25 ml bottles of iron (III) chloride, 0.10M solution UN2582; 30 ml of potassium thiocyanate, 0.10M solution; and 30 ml potassium ferrocyanide, 0.10M solution. Grades 6-12.
