What does it mean when you describe a rose as red or the field around you as green? Help your students “see the light” with this classic color wheel. All the colors of the rainbow are literally blended together as the wheel is set to spinning. 9" dia. wheel contains four distant quadrants, each with violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red wedges, in that order. A black plastic handle attaches to the center of the wheel, which can be set to spinning with an included cord. At rest, the wheel consists of separate colors. Is this still true when it’s in motion? The colors remain, of course, but the wheel is turning too fast for your eyes to keep the reflected colors separate. Grades 6-12.
